Halloween: Andrea’s Costume

with 2 comments

Here it is! Andrea’s Halloween costume, designed and sewn by her without a pattern. She bought the hat and used an old skirt, but everything else — the entire shirt and the skirt embellishments — were designed and created by her. She was up past midnight finishing it the night before Halloween. She was a sewing demon — sewing ruffles, putting in elastic, and using her sewing machine like a pro. She just finished a six-week sewing class, and her teacher was a little nervous about making something without a pattern, but I’d say they both did an amazing job!

Here’s the original drawing she used to formulate her idea.

Andrea and Echo

Trick-or-treaters: Echo (a pirate), Amy (a gothic fairy), Andrea (a pirate), Mark (Freddy Krueger), Keyra (Nefertiti), Lilly (a wolf)

Note: Jessa went trick-or-treating with other friends. I hope they took pictures! Otherwise, I’m going to have to have her put on her costume again. Hers was also handmade and designed by her, and she was up past midnight finishing it as well. I never even saw the finished product.
